CORDURA®

Cordura® is a brand name for a collection of durable fabrics. The most common fiber in these fabrics is polyamide (nylon), but it can also be mixed with other materials such as e.g. cotton or polyester.

Why Cordura®?
The main advantage of Cordura® is its exceptionally high wear resistance in relation to its weight and softness. The Cordura® fiber is e.g. 10 times stronger than cotton, 3 times stronger than regular polyester and 2 times stronger than regular polyamide.

Why Henmark uses Cordura®?
We want to deliver products with optimal comfort, function and longevity. For our outdoor trousers, Cordura® therefore becomes natural to use. In our Protean pants we use Cordura® mixed with polyester and spandex. The fabric has stretch both in width and length, so-called 4-way stretch, which provides fine comfort and at the same time high wear resistance on the exposed parts of the trousers. In our trousers, the fabric is used on the knee area as well as in the crotch and seat. It is these parts of the trousers that require higher wear resistance and in combination with good stretch the trousers are comfortable in all situations. With the choice of Cordura® stretch, you want to get really comfortable trousers that you will hopefully use often and for a long time. As we know, usage time is an important factor when we want to minimize our footprint.
